The Black Swans - Blue Bayou / Joe Tex BS-001

Jerry DeCicca and The Black Swans have been winning hearts with their highly unique and beautiful folk sound since the early 2000s. Praise for their latest album, Don't Blame the Stars, has been practically universal. Mojo gave the album 4 out of 5 stars, Pitchfork called it "a gorgeous sounding record" and Paste called the album "singular and strong," giving it 8 1/2 out of 10 stars.

"Blue Bayou" and "Joe Tex," both of which are on Don't Blame the Stars, appear here in different forms. The former is a special mono mix, edited for some non-existent AM Psych-Folk radio station. The new mix of "Joe Tex" on this single is stripped back to acoustic guitar, vocal and string quartet. T
